Is the picture quality on a 25" CRT TV using a svideo cable usable for IM, Email, Web?

i dont need it to be HD quality but is it able to be done and look decent enough to do C++, IM, browse the web? also is there a way to simulate the pixilation that it would have on a 17" CRT monitor?

the monitor is fine, just not the s video interface
Reply:No, it's far too lousy. S-video is analog, so it limits you to a laughable 720x480. That's fine for gaming and video, but not for actual productivity work or a Browser window. You actually DO need HDTV resolutions for what you want, I'm afraid. As for the pixelation, I'm not sure what you mean, because a 17" CRT shouldn't have any at a normal mode. As to your question, your 25" TV would blur into nothing any pixelation, anyway, even on 1980's DOS games. It's just a SD set, and probably made either in Korea, Malaysia, or Hong Kong even if it sports a Japanese or American brand name.
