I sent an email attachment as a jpg. it was a business flier, and when I open it, it also has other pictures ?

I created a flier and saved it as a jpg, and sent it to another e mail on the receiving end to see what my clients would see. First of all it takes forever for the attachment. I have high speed internet. I saved it jpg to condense the file. Yahoo mail doesn't allow large e mail attachments. I also thought what if my clients had the same problem opening up their email. The other problem I had was when I opened up the e mail attachment , it had a whole bunch of attached pictures from e mail pictures, advertisement, logos, words etc.. I'm trying to put my first impression here and I don't want new clients to think I'm sending unwanted mail and just delete the flier. I only send one attachment and get a slew of other unwanted pictures attached to them. Are they pictures from hackers...hacking into my email and getting my information?.

First, look at the size of the attachment. Just above the email message is a little note showing the name and size. You don't want that size to be greater than about 100-200kb. From your description it is probably several megab.


Your best bet to prepare a flier is to use something like MS Word (or even better MS Publisher) to prepare the flier with text and picture. Use a photo editor to reduce the size of the photos. MS Photo Editor is one, Irfanview is my favorite (www.irfanview.com).


Finally use a pdf program to write the file to the Adobe pdf format. Some cost money, some are free. These set up to act just like a printer but it prints to a file on your hard drive. Again you don't want the size to be large. At the end of this message is a group of sites that provide this program.


As for the extra images, not sure how you got them attached to your jpg. What program did you use to make this image? Perhaps it is a demo that adds these extras until you pay for the program.
