Reply:Open your email programme it could be outlook express, Pegasus, or outlook, Click on file then new message, in the to box type the email address you are sending the email to. In the subject box type in whatever your email is about (like how to send a photo by email), click in the big white box below and type your message. Click on insert at the top of this new email message and then on picture, the picture dialogue box comes up, click on browse to find the folder you saved your photograph in. You might have to keep clicking on folder names in the big white box till you find the right folder name.

Once you have found the correct folder click on the name of the file you gave the photograph in the big white box below the look in box, the picture dialogue box will come up. Type in the alternate text box the name of your photograph just in case the person you are sending the email to hasn't got send pictures with messages ticked in there email programme options. You can align your picture below your text or above it and other options by clicking the alignment button, click ok.


Make sure that


send pictures with message is ticked.


When you click on insert, then picture, rather than on insert and then file attachment, the picture is displayed in the box at the bottom of the recipients email without having to double click the file name to open it as with a file attachment. You now know how to save and send a photo in your email correctly.

Have the photo saved in jpg format in your documents, or desktop. In your email click add attachments. Then browse to where it is located Click attach and that is it. Then send your email.

I am trying to send an email attachment, (picture). Invailed file message keeps popping up. What's up?

Could be that the file name is too long. Could be that the image is to big for the e mail. Could be many things. We need more info than this. What size is the image? What e mail service? Whats the exact message?

I have been having the same problem. You can go to the "Options" link in Yahoo Mail, then under "Management" click "General Preferences". Scroll all the way down to "Photomail" and select a different option...if "Always save inserted photos to the "PhotoMail Uploads" album on Yahoo! Photos" is already checked. I am going to try the same thing. I hope this works because creating all those folders is extremely annoying!

You can create a new account and don't open a photo account. Then you have no worry of duplicate.

I recently came accross a website that was posting fake ads on an adult personals website under false pretenses, and then they bait the individual they are talking to into giving them pictures, phone numbers, and other such information and they then post thig information on their own website, declaring these people "perverts". They also will contact people's wives or husbands(if they are cheating) and bosses(if they use a work email address) and tell them about what their spouse or employee is doing online.





While I feel that it is a person's own personal business what they do online , and I find cheating wrong no matter what the instance, and I also find it foolish that people use work emails for that purpose, I still seem to have some issues with a 3rd party getting involved in such a situation, especially if the spouse of company is not involved initially.

In the subject box type in whatever your email is about (like how to send a photo by email), click in the big white box below and type your message. Click on insert at the top of this new email message and then on picture, the picture dialogue box comes up, click on browse to find the folder you saved your photograph in. You might have to keep clicking on folder names in the big white box till you find the right folder name.

The ugly purple is because you have clicked or visited the link yourself, usually it would be a normal blue like links are on webpages. Unless you're using an email that can edit messages in HTML, I don't think there is a way for you to change it.





-- if you can however and want to remove the border completely, I'd suggest changing the image from what's linked such as *img src="LINK" border="0"* (replacing the *'s with the correct %26gt; brackets.) The border part in your link indicates the thickness of the link line around your image. If this is set to 0, then I am pretty sure there will be no horrible purple border.

The picture will jump, but hit the enter key.


Then scroll back to the top of your picture and left click your mouse pointer where you want your caption, start typing or paste graphic caption.


Of course, you cannot type or paste inside of the picture, only above or below. Unless, you use a photo program.

Most photo editors like Windows Photo Editor have a function to resize the photo. With yahoo, a file that is about 100kb or less shows at the bottom of the email as a small thumbnail sketch.
Reply:Download and install the freeware IrfanView, it has many useful features, yet is extremely easy to handle. Once it is installed, open your pic with it, go to "image" in the top bar, click "change size", enter the desired size, also change the DPI (dots per inch) settings to 72, then save your pic as .jpg or .gif.

well try downloading the picture 1st sounds like you're saving a file name instead of the pic, you can download the pic to your hdd or to your floppy as you choose the destination, if you're in yahoo and the pic is attached click on the file name and yahoo will scan it and then ask if you want to open or save, choose save and then a destination, if the pic is in the body of the message right click on the pic and choose save picture as and pick a destination

Yes, it ends up on your email service's data storage.


Email is normally not stored on your machine, but on the server for that email address; which means if you sent it to someone form a different email type then it would end of their company's server as well.





If you sent the email from work then it would probably end up on the company's server as well. People aren't supposed to look at it, but they can and if it is your company then they can monitor what you do on line.





If you post anything on the web, even in email, it is like posting it on a public bulletin board; who knows who might see it.





Facebook and MySpace have their own servers so all the data on them is stored on their servers and employers like to make it a habit to Google their employees to find out if they are doing something they don't like. People have been fired based on what they posted on their MySpace and Facebook web pages. So don't put anything out there that would embarrass you.





If you want to send dirty photos to someone then you had better use a snail mail carrier NOT an email service or who knows where your pictures could end up. Few email companies bother to look at the email that goes through them, there is so much it would be impossible to check it all. But, if you work for a company and use their web server then someone may look at it, and a court order can force and email provider to allow police access to your email. Plus under the Patriot Act all electronic communications sent abroad can be monitored by the US Government; so dozens if not hundreds of people could possibility see those emailed photos.





The likely probability is that no one will see them, there is just too much email out there for people to check it, but it can end up on another server out of your hands, out of your control and you probably won't even know about it.

It completely depends on which email program or online email account you are using. To do it you need to create a new email and attach the file to the email before clicking "Send".





As I said it is hard to tell you when you don't mention the name of the software or online email account you are using but typically, to attach the file you need to click on a link that says something like "Attach file" or more commonly click on a little paper clip icon. This should give you a browse dialog where you can select the file to attach

You can't attach the whole html page that way. But, you CAN make only the pictures to appear as inline content. To do that, just go to a website like http://www.imageshack.us/ , upload the images there, and in the mail, add HTML Image tags and link it to the image link provided by imageshack. This way, it appears as inline content.





Example for HTML Image tag - %26lt;img src="http://www.imageshack.us/whatever"%26gt;

I created a flier and saved it as a jpg, and sent it to another e mail on the receiving end to see what my clients would see. First of all it takes forever for the attachment. I have high speed internet. I saved it jpg to condense the file. Yahoo mail doesn't allow large e mail attachments. I also thought what if my clients had the same problem opening up their email. The other problem I had was when I opened up the e mail attachment , it had a whole bunch of attached pictures from e mail pictures, advertisement, logos, words etc.. I'm trying to put my first impression here and I don't want new clients to think I'm sending unwanted mail and just delete the flier. I only send one attachment and get a slew of other unwanted pictures attached to them. Are they pictures from hackers...hacking into my email and getting my information?.

First, look at the size of the attachment. Just above the email message is a little note showing the name and size. You don't want that size to be greater than about 100-200kb. From your description it is probably several megab.


Your best bet to prepare a flier is to use something like MS Word (or even better MS Publisher) to prepare the flier with text and picture. Use a photo editor to reduce the size of the photos. MS Photo Editor is one, Irfanview is my favorite (www.irfanview.com).


Finally use a pdf program to write the file to the Adobe pdf format. Some cost money, some are free. These set up to act just like a printer but it prints to a file on your hard drive. Again you don't want the size to be large. At the end of this message is a group of sites that provide this program.


As for the extra images, not sure how you got them attached to your jpg. What program did you use to make this image? Perhaps it is a demo that adds these extras until you pay for the program.

If you want to use some other pic or a photo, then this requires a 360 account and this is a 3 step process.





1) You'll need to create your Yahoo! 360 account. http://360.yahoo.com


NOTE: Currently, you have to be 18 or older to get a 360 account.


So far, this is the only option if you want to use some other picture or photo.


The only three options for pics you have on your Answers profile is no pic, Yahoo avatar, or 360 picture.





2) You'll need to upload a couple of pictures to your 360 page.


On your 360 page, select "My Page" from the top


Select "Edit Personal Photos" on the left hand side


Browse to your saved photo(s) (assuming you have one or more ready) to upload it.
