I bought an acer aspire7520. whenever I attach a picture to an email, it takes over 10 minutes, why?

it could either be the internet connection or the file size. try resizing the photo and then try to send it. if there's no difference, you might want to upgrade to a faster type of internet. if you do have fast internet, call customer support.

What format is your picture? Sometimes if the picture has a format like .jpeg, .big, .png, etc. most formats will take long to upload.

There are some formats which consume a lot of storage space thus making the upload quite longer than normal. The best way is to change the format of your picture by using Save As and saving it using a different format.
Reply:i think it is the internet conection or the computer is still working on getting up to speed. try some downloads to help it. or mabye the picture is to large to send via e-mail.
Reply:Maybe it's your internet connection or maybe your system specs are low end so it's quite slow.

How could lage,non-JPG pictures be reduced to JPG size and sent via email?

How could lage,non-JPG pictures be reduced to JPG size and sent via email?
Hi - -there are several ways this can be done. The most popular would be to use Photoshop to open the file and then resize as desired and finally save as a .JPG with whatever compression you choose - from very high and lossy (0) to very low and high quality but bigger file (12).

I send files at XGA resolution to best fit most peoples screens. XGA is 1024 pixels wide by 768 High at 72 ppi. Any more than this will just slow down the send and receive and won't necessarily look any better on the recipients computer screen unless they are running some higher resolution.
Reply:If you are using the windows, it is simple, on the bottom left of the monitor screen, click

Start%26gt;Programs%26gt;Accessories%26gt; Paint

On the top left, click File and Open . Select the picture in the folder and open it.

Next, click File, click Save As, click the down arrow where it says Save as type and select JPEG, click Save.

To reduce size: it is simple... u open the pictures in paint if you have windows then go to image at top then then click stretch/skew and change the first two percentages from 100% to something like 20% then save them.
Reply:Any graphic program that will let you edit them will let you save them as a jpeg file, and most email programs will attach and compress the jpg to send to your friends.

When I take a picture with my phone and email it to myself, how do I get my email to store these pics for me?
You can Download your pics to your PC from your email account as attachment files.

If your recent email service does not let you download them, send them to Yahoo mail, which allow you to download.

You's better use a profesional software to send your pictures on this case.

Try Google Picasa, 100% free and easy to use.

With Picasa, you can organize your pictures on your computer easily, Share your pics with friends by sending email, Edit your pics, making many special effects only by one click.

How to put a picture in a email on Firefox/MAC browser?

How to put a picture in a email on Firefox/MAC browser?
Just go to compose and then hit on attach files and it will bring up browse and then hit on that to browse on what's on your computer. I'm assuming you have the pix on your desktop or in iPhoto or something on your computer.
Reply:It is not the browser that determines whether or not you can put a pic into an email. It is the email service itself. Yahoo Mail, for example, does not allow pics to be embedded into emails, regardless of what browser you are using.
